An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau dated January 1935 reporting that the personnel strength of the Polish navy numbered 392 officers, 803 petty officers, 891 sailors (volunteers with a long term appointment) and 2.154 sea militiamen. The naval air force numbered 25 officers (25 former army officers) and 300 petty officers and soldiers.
