Defence of Ceylon strengthened according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1937 no. 7

An item referred to the magazine Sch. dated 1 November 1937 reported that a Ceylon Naval Volunteer Corps would be founded to defend the island. The government was permitted to commission warships to be paid out of the colonial budget.
