Hospital ship Dover torpedoed and sunk in the Mediterranean Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated Friday 1 June 1917

An item dated London, England 29th May referred to a statement of the British Admiralty reporting that the hospital ship Dover on last Saturday 18.00 o’clock was torpedoed in the Mediterranean without to be warned. At 20.30 o’clock was she hit by a second torpedo and sunk. All patients and the medical personnel went on board of other ships. Except for 6 men was the entire crew saved. For their lives of the missing men was feared.
