German cargo ship Pinnau fruitless attacked by Rusian submarine according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 20 December 1939

An item dated Stockholm, Sweden 18th reported that a Russian submarine attacked the German cargo ship Pinnau in the Gulf of Bothnia. Despite the 57 gunshots remained the Pinnau with as homeport Stettin undamaged.
