Soviet tug Leningrad active on the Danube according to a CIA report dated 27 June 1952

An item dealing with the merchant shipping traffic on the Dabube with as destination Ismail and Reni (Ukraine) between 15 February and 10 March 1952 reported the departure from Vienna, Austria of the Russian tug Leningrad towing barges towards Ismail. The barges were stored with cables from the Brown Boveri plant, turbines and bridge components from the Siemens-Schuckert plant.
