Tenth Anniversary of the October Revolution Shipyard, Astrakhan, Soviet Union responsible for maintenance of barges according to a CIA report dated 26 March 1953

An item reported that the Tenth Anniversary of the October Revolution Shipyard, Astrakhan, Soviet Union was responsible for the major and minor repairs of tugs and barges. The steel build barges had as dimensions 120 x 18 x 5 (above the waterline) metres, a cargo capacity of 1.500 tons and a crew numbering 9-12 men.
