British destroyers HMS Albacore and Bonetta executing trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1909-1910 no. 8

An item reported that the destroyers HMS Albacore (1) and Bonita (2) bought from a private firm by the British Royal Navy achieved a trial speed of 30 miles. Displacement 450 tons. Armament consisted of 1-7,6cm gun, 5-5,7cm quick firing guns and 2 torpedo launchers.

1. Laid down by Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company, Jarrow, England on 1 September 1905, launched on 9 October 1905, commissioned on 27 March 1909 and sold to be broken up on 1 August 1919.
2. Of the so-called B-class, laid down by Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company, Jarrow, England on 1 September 1905, launched on 14 January 1907, completed on 27 March 1909, acquired on 3 March 1909 and sold to be broken up in June 1920.
