Of the Russian Project 1159TR built at the Russian Zelenodoksk shipyard between 1975-1986 to replace the Riga-class but instead became an export design and sold to Algeria, Bulgaria, Cuba, China, Egypt, Libya and Yugoslavia. NATO name is Koni II-class. Precededed by the Mirka-class and succeeded by the Gepard class. Laid down as SKR-201 on 22 September 1982, launched on 27 April 1985 and commissioned on 30 December 1984. Captured in the Civil War by the NTC at Benghazi and now flagship of the Libyan navy.

Displacement 1.140 (standard)-1.900 (full load) tons and as dimensions 95,0 x 12,8 x 4,2 x 5 (draft) metres. Fitted out with 1 CODAG M8V DB58L4 gas turbine and 3 diesels supplying via 3 shafts totally 35.000 shp allowing a speed of maximum 27 knots and with a speed of 14 knots a range of 1.800 nautical miles. Crew numbered 110 men. Armament consisted originally of 1 SAN-4- launcher with 20 missiles, 3 SS-N-2C Styx anti-ship missile launchers, 4-76,2cm dual purpose guns,4-3cm guns,2 RBU-6000 depth charge launchers, able to carry 30 naval mines with her and 2-40,6cm torpedo tubes.
