American whaler Covington visited Bourka Bay according to the Australian newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald dated Thursday 21 May 1863

An item reported that in February the American whaler Covington of Warren visited Bourka Bay, master Jenks with a catch of 100 barrels sperm oil, coming from Honolulu, Hawaii and destined northward.
