An item reported that Mark Konov (Ulianowski 20 January 1917), living in Moscow, with the Russian engineer Leonid Critzai visited Milan, Italy for around 20 days presumably to buy from the Alfa Romeo Company a number of 60 engines for sea ships. The engines were to be sent to the Soviet Union and there used for the propulsion of ships. The payment would exist of metal scrap. The engines were not to be used for the several tugs built by the Soviet Union in Italy.
