Laid down by Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij (RDM), Rotterdam, Netherlands on 21 April 1950, launched on 11 April 1953, commissioned on 30 December 1954, stricken on 9 November 1977, sold to Peru on 12 December 1977 and renamed Garcia y Garcia. Part of the Holland-class, preceded by the Gerard Callenburgh-class and succeeded by the Friesland-class. The deisgn of the Holland went back to the Submarine destroyer 1947-class concept. Decommissioned in 1986. Displacement 2.185 (standard)-2.642 (full load) tons and as dimensions 113,1 x 11,4 x 5,1 metres or 371.1 x 37,5 x 16.9 feet. Fitted out with turbines delivering via 2 shafts 45.000hp/33.56kW allowing a speed of 32 knots and with a speed of 8 knots was her range 4.000 nautical miles. Crew numbered 247 men. Armament consisted of 2x2-12cm Bofors guns, 1-4cm Bofors anti aircraft gun, 2xquad 35,7cm/14.1” anti submarine mortars and 2 depth charge racks.
