An item reported that the French Le Loing (1) visited the Dutch East Indies harbours Macassar between 26-30 November 1936, Bali between 30 November-5 December 1936 and Batavia between 8-13 December 1936.(2)

The Dutch newspaper De Indische courant dated 8 December 1936 reported that a French squadron consisting of the cruiser Lamotte Piquet, the flotilla vessel Anural Charner and the lanker Le Loing was lying at Tandjong Priok. The cruiser arrived in the afternoon the day before with the Amiral Charner and the tanker arriving the next morning.
