Of Nantucket, master James Russell, departed on 17th July towards the Pacific Ocean and returned on 25th August 1821 with 1.070 barrels sperm and 63 whale. Captured at the island of St. Mary’s by the pirate Beneveder and carried to Aranco where Russell and a boy were murdered. Her mate Obed Starbuch and some crewmembers managed to escape with her hack home.
