Launched by Pannevius, Alphen a/d Rijn, Netherlands in April 1921 and handed over in November 1921, in service of the Royal Netherlands Navy as the Hr.Ms. BV 4in August-September 1939, call sign in 1939 PHSX, in service of the German navy at the navy arsenal Gotenhafen, Hamburg, Germany as the Specht since 7 September 1941, sold on 5 November 1957 to Societa Esercizio Rimochi e Salvataggi, Ravenna, Italy and renamed Alberoni (Italy-flagged, homeport Ravenna, call sign IJFN, IMO 5008447), and in 1974 sold to Loucas .G. Matsas Salvage&Towage Maritime Company, Piraeus, Greece renamed Kerveros and broken up at Perama, Greece in 1976.
Dimensions 29,00 (over all) x 6,50 (registered) x 3,20 (registered depth) x 2,81 (registered draught) metres, gross tonnage of 148 tons and net tonnage 38 tons. Fitted out with 1-3 cylinder 500ihp triple expansion steam engine and with one screw allowing a speed of 9 knots. Coal main bunker capacity 100 tons.
