Hungarian and Soviet shipping companies arranging Danube shipping according to a CIA report dated 8 February 1952

An item dealing with the shipping on the Danube reported that the Soviet-Hungarian shipping company Meszhart and the Soviet shipping company SDGP were to regulate the traffic on the Danube partially. Meszhart was to become responsible for the route Vienna-Szöny and Almasfüzitö and added more vessels to the already available in the Vienna-Budapest sector. The Soviet SDGP became responsible for the route Vienna-Reni.
