Canadian fishing and sealing schooner Alphonsine in 1867

Homeport Esquimaux Point. Active on the cod and herring fishery along the coast of Labrador. Captain Charles LeBrun. Tonnage 23 tons. Crew numbered 10 men. Catch of 9 cwts cod and 355 barrels of herring. Also active in the seal hunting leaving for the ice around 23 March and returning at the end of April. Number of seals killed 424  and value in 2.332 US dollars.
