Crews of Latvian merchant ship lying in Dutch harbours were striking according to the Dutch newspaper Bredasche courant dated 21 June 1933

An item reported that on board of some Latvian ships lying in the Dutch harbours of Amsterdam, Zaandam and Ijmuiden since the day before their crews were striking demanding to be paid according to the 1930 level. One Latvian ship did not participate in the strike and was now guarded by the police.
