Built by Globe Shipbuilding Co., Superior, Wisconsin in June 1918 with yard number 101. Owned by Sawayama Kisen KK, Nagasaki, Japan. Owned as ss Lake Washburn by US Shipping Board, USA-flagged, C.H. Lawrence Jr., USA-flagged, owned by Erie&St. Lawrence Corp., New York, USA, Toyo Maru No. 6 same owner when as No. 8. Torpedoed by American submarine USSS Plunger (SS-179) on 2 February 1944 off Kushimoto.
