A list of the ships launched in 1903 reported the Argentinean tug Lisbonieu with a horsepower of 300 ihp by Firma Wed. C. Boele&Zonen, Slikkerveer, Netherlands for foreign account.(1)

The newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 9 January 1904 referred to a telegram of the Dutch consul at Montevideo, Uruguay reporting that mate Waterborg or Waterberg was the sole survivor of the tug Lisbone, her master Wielens of Veendam, Netherlands drowned; all her other crewmembers were foreigners. Her crew abandoned her on the English Bank in heavy weather. The tug was salvaged and brought by Lussich and handed over to the harbour authorities. Destined for Buenos Aires, Argentina, departed the Nieuwe Waterweg, Netherlands on 25 October 1903. The newspaper Het nieuws van den dag dated 7 January 1904 reported that she was a sailing vessel loaded with engines and to be used as a tug in South America. The newspaper Scheepvaart dated 17 February 1904 referred to a statement of her mate that she grounded on the English Bank on 1 January and that her crew abandoned her in their own boat which however capsized three times and the other six men died of hunger, thirst of exhaustion.
