British minelayer HMS Princess Victoria sunk according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 22 May 1940

An item dated London, England 21st referred to an announcement of the British Admiralty reporting that the minelayer Princess Victoria strike a mine and sunk. Her crew consisting of the commanding officer, 2 officers and 31 sailors was missing. Feared was their death.(1)

1. Roll-on/roll odd ferry launched by William Denny and Brothers, Dumbarton, Scotland with yard number 1333 on 21 April 1939 for London Midland and Scottish Railway, lost in 19 May 1940.
