Built by W. Gray&Co. Ltd., Hartlepool, England in March 1906. In 1939 of Sato Shoten K.K., Kobe/Tokyo, Japan, call sign JEZB, official no. 3.672. Sunk by the American submarine USS Cabezon (SS-334) south west of Paramushiro, Kuril Islands on 19 June 1945. Dimensions 306 x 45.0 x 20.1 x 9.11 (light)-19.5 (loaded) feet. Gross tonnage2.631 tons, under deck 2.247 tons and net tonnage 1.861 tons. With a coal bunker capacity of 407 ton and a speed of 8 knots a range of 3.500 nautical miles. Reciprocating 231 nhp steam machinery. Ex ss Monaro of the Melbourne Steamship Co., Melbourne, Australia between 1906-1926.
