Japanese single screw steam cargo ship (ex-Tungchow 1914-1936, ex-Hsin Peking 1936-1942) Rakuzan Maru 1942-

Gross register tonnage 2.104 tons, under deck 1.592 tons, net tonnage 1.236 tons, deadweight 1.000 tons and as dimensions 280.0 (between perpendiculars) x 40 x 17.8 feet. Built by Taikoo Dockyard&Engineering Co., Hong Kong, with yard number 140 in 1914. As the Hsin Peking owned by China Navigation Company, London, England, United Kingdom-flagged and call sign GLJY. Since January 1936 active on the Shanghai-Ningpo line. Captured on 8 December 1941 by the Japanese when underway from Tongku towards Hong Kong, renamed Rakuzan Maru in 1942 and sunk by American aircraft off Rashin, Manchuria on 9 August 1945. Horsepower 196 nhp. Speed 10 knots.
