Dutch steam pilot vessel Jan Spanjaard built in the Netherlands in 1901 according to the Dutch magazine Scheepvaart dated 28 December 1901

A list of the ships launched in 1901 reported the Dutch steam pilot vessel Jan Spanjaard of 440 tons built by Scheepsbouw en Machinefabriek de Industrie/P. Smit Jr., Rotterdam, Netherlands for account of the Dutch navy. (1)

Note

Yard number 166. The Dutch newspaper Het vaderland dated 22 June 1901 reported that she was to be named Jan Spanjaard. The Algemeen Handelsblad dated 1 July reported her launching on the Saturday before. Het nieuws van den dag dated 24 September reported that she executed with measured mile trial on the Haringvliet after her completion would depart for Ijmuiden, Netherlands where she was to be stationed. Steel built.
