British want to built huge unsinkable wheat carrier in 2017

In the British War Cabinet meeting of 11 April 1917 reported the First Sea Lord admiral Sir J.R. Jellicoe (1) that his intention was to propose the building of an unsinkable 50.000 tons measuring cargo ship for transporting wheat and so on. Shipping Controller Sir J.P. Maclay (2) thought that such a ship needed between 18-25 months be built, something Jellicoe not believed. The War Cabinet decided that the Constructive Department of the Admiralty should to discuss the matter with the Shipbuilders Committee. If necessary was the War Cabinet to be informed.
