Spanish galleon le Saint Nicolas de Barry disappeared according to the Dutch newspaper Leydse courant dated 20 October 1769

An item dated Cadiz, Spain 26 September reported that there was no hope anymore that the Spanish galleon le Saint Nicolas de Barry which arrived off Madeira would return safely. She had been 140 days under way and any tiding from the British and French colonies was lacking.
