Dutch Davis Strait commandeur Gilles Dingemansz van der Os returned home according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse courant dated 28 August 1727

 

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 27 August reported the arrival on the Maas of the Davis Strait Barent commandeur Gilles Dingemans[z] van der Os … whale 86 quardelen.(1)

1. Commandeur between 1726-1727 for Teunis van der Os, Zierikzee, Netherlands 1 whale 80 barrels blubber.
