Built by Blohm&Voss, Hamburg, Germany with yard number 139 as the Dutch ocean liner ss Potsdam for account of the Holland America Line serving between Rotterdam, Netherlands and New York, USA in May 1900. Sold to the Swedish American Line in 1915 and renamed ss Stockholm on the line Gotheburg-New York. Sold to Norway and converted into a whaling factory. In 1940 captured by the Kriegsmarine when Norway was invaded by Germany, handed over to the First German Whaling Company as the Sonderburg, scuttled as a block ship at Cherbourg, France in 1944, partly demolished in 1946 and scrapped in the United Kingdom in 1947. Gross tonnage 12,246 tons, under deck 9,522 tons, net tonnage 7,090 tons and as dimensions 550.1 x 62.1 x 34.6 feet. Owned by A/S Odd (managed by A/S Thor Dahl), Sandefjord, Norway.
