An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 26 or 27 October of the Bremen whale ship Gustave captain Norton 18 months out 1.700 barrels whale oil. Departed on 28 November for cruising. At her arrival stated her captain that she been during 40 days in a fog unable to lower her boats despite that were whales in abundance around her.
