British whaler Charles arrived in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand according the newspaper The Sydney Gazette and New South Whales Advertiser dated Tuesday 27 January 1835

An item reported the arrival on 28 December 1834 in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand of the British whaler Charles master Hawkins with 900 barrels oil leaving for the fishery again on 7 January 1835.
