An item dated Tuesday 31 July reporting the arrival of the Dutch whaler Amerika commandeur Dirk Gerrit Swart. According to a list he brought with him when he left Davis Strait were the catch results of the Dutch commandeur Wiebe Oebles 4 whales.(1)

1. Commandeur between 1765-1788 for Jan Dirk en Willem van Vollenhoven, Amsterdam, Netherlands 4,5 whale 170 barrels blubber 274 quardelen oil. Alphabetische naam-lyst van alle de Groenlandsche en Straat-Davidsche Commandeurs die sedert het jaar 1700 op Groenland en sedert het jaar 1719 op de Straat Davis etc. Gerret van Sant.
