Dutch Greenland commandeur Luijtje Barensz Moolenaar involved in dispute over ownership in 1767

Statement dated 14 August 1767 by several men that they were part of the Greenland whaler Gijsbert commandeur Luijtje Barensz Moolenaar recently returned that they were in the ice on 13 June 1767 with another 4 Dutch and 4 British whalers when a dispute arise about the ownership of a caught whale.(1)

1. Commandeur between 1747-1769, 1777, in 1767 for Dibbetz en Schorer, Amsterdam, 1 whale 50 barrels blubber 64 quardelen whale oil.
