Turkish harbours Smyrna,Vurla and Sjatt-el-Arad closed or limited entrance according to the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder courant dated 9 November 1914

An item dated Constantinople, Turkey 9^th reported that the Turkish harbour prefect ordered to close the harbours of Smyrna [Izmir, Turkey] and Sjatt-el-Arad [Sjatt-al-Arab?], Mesopotamia for all shipping. Ships entering the harbour of Vurla would get none pilots on board.
