American whale ship Gold Hunter visited Hilo, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 9 November 1844

An item reported the arrival at Hilo, Hawaii on 12 October of the American whale ship Gold Hunter captain Wood off Fall River, USA 11 months out 900 barrels whale oil.(1)
