A list dated 1940 dealing with tugs available on the Danube and Black Sea area mentioned the Erste Donau-Dampfschiffahrtsgesellschaft (I.DDSG) owned motor tug Amsel with a horsepower of 250 hp. Hired by the Kriegsmarine.
