Statement dated 12 August 1746 by several men that they were part of the Greenland whaler Jonge Juffrouw Catharina commandeur Cornelis Butter(1), leaving Amsterdam begin April, on 9 April to open sea, arriving off Greenland. On 15 May, on 21 May already caught 7 whales and in the afternoon of 31 May heavily damaged in a heavy storm and finally abandoned the whaler. Part of the crew stayed behind, around 24 hours later saved by the boats of the Oranjeboom of Stephen Broersen (2) and the Witte Vos commandeur Jan Lubben.(3)
