Scottish seal hunter Aurora harrased by heavy weather according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 15 March 1894

 

An item dated St. John, Newfoundland, 2 March reported the arrival of the seal hunter Aurora from Dundee, Scotland, In heavy weather lost she her lifeboats at port side and at starboard two others with the davits and 50 feet bulwark, sails and rigging disappeared and at deck considerable damage. Two crew members were wounded.
