American whaler Thule lying at Talcahuano, Chile according to the newspaper The Inquirer and Mirror dated Saturday 28 February 1835

An item dated Thursday 26 February mentioned that the whaler Weymouth reported for 23 November 1834 at Talcahuano, Chile the whaler Thule master Smith of Nantucket 400 barrels oil.

Hussey&Robinson, Nantucket, 1876. Former merchantman which was bought, master Josian Smith, departed to the Pacific Ocean on 21 December 1832, returned on 39 May 1835, 270 barrels sperm oil, her captain left the ship at Talcahuano and second mate George W. Folger brought her home.
