French whaling ship Angelin visited Lahaina, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 8 February 1845

An item reported that the French whaling ship Angeline left the Mulgrave Islands [Badu Island] leaving the doctor, 2nd mate and 10 sailors behind who were killed or made slaves. She stay there 8 days before leaving to the Sandwich Islands. Whaling and other ships were warned when visiting the region. She arrived on 7 February at Honolulu, Hawaii 18 months out 1,400 barrels whale oil.
