Japanese screw steam cargo ship Koan Maru 1924-1944

Built by Osaka Iron Works Ld., Osaka, Japan in March 1924. Call sign JPFA. Gross register tonnage 3.184 tons, under deck 2.741 tons, net tonnage 1.970 tons and as dimensions 305.00 x 43.7 x 27.2 feet. While used by the army sunk by the American submarine USS Rasher (SS-269) in the Celebes Sea on 14 June 1944 on a distance of 130 miles south of Mindanao, Philippines.
