American whaling ship Bowditch visited Lahaina, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 10 May 1845

An item reported the arrival at Lahaina, Hawaii on 18 February of the American whaling ship Bowditch captain M. Lane of Providence, USA 19 months out 700 barrels whale oil 6,000 lbs bone departed on 4 March.
