French destroyer Hussard performed well during trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1909-1910 no. 8

An item reported that the French destroyer Hussard achieved on hr trial a speed of 29,9 miles which was far above the contracted speed of 28 miles.(1)

1. Of the Spahi-class consisting of the Spahi, Hussard, Carabinier, Lansquenet, Mamelul. Enseigne Henry and Aspirant Herber. Pennant M 59. Laid down by C. de la Loire, Nantes, France in 1906, launched on 12 September 1908, completed in September 1911 and stricken anno March 1922. Machinery consisted of 2 vertical triple expansion steam engines and 3 Du Temple boilers.
