An item dated 16 November 1943 reported that the Soviet naval forces at Batumi [Georgia] consisted of the heavy cruiser Krasny Kavkas (1), light cruiser Krasny Krim (2), 1 Storojvey-class destroyer (3), 1-Ghevny-class destroyer(4), 1 Frunse-class destroyer (5), 13 M.T.B.s of which 5 were beached, the hulls of 2 torpedo boats, 5 motor minesweepers, 4 submarines, 1-8,500 ton cargo passenger vessel, 3-7.000 tons tankers. 1 circa 4.500 tons freighter, 1 circa 3.500 tons freighter, 1 circa 2.500 tons freighter, 3 circa 2.000 tons freighters, 1 floating crane, 15 coastal vessels and barges totally around 10.000 tons and furthermore 25 boats.

1. Krasny Kavkaz of the Admiral Nakhimov-class light cruisers, preceded by Svetlana-class, succeeded by Kirov-class. Laid down by Russud Dockyard, Nikolayev, Ukraine on 31 October 1913, launched on 21 June 1916, handed over in November 1917 as the Admiral Lazarev, renamed Krasny Kavkaz on 14 December 1926, commissioned on 25 January 1932, trainiing ship since 12 May 1947 and sunk as a target on 21 November 1952.
2. Of the Svetlana-class light cruisers, preceded by Muraviev Amurski-class, succeeded by Admiral Nakhimov-class. Laid down at Russo-Baltic Shipyard, Reval nowdays Tallinn, Estonia on 7 December 1913, launched on 27 November 1915, handed over as Profintern in November 1917, commissioned on 1 July 1928, renamed on 31 October 1939, training ship since November 1954, stricken and broken up in July 1959.
3. Storozhevoy-class destroyers, preceded by Gnevy-class and succeeded by Ognevoy-class, displacement 1.727 (standard)-2.279 (full load) tons.
4. Gnevny-class destroyers, preceded by Gogland-class, succeeded by Storozhevoy-class, displacement 1.612 (standard)-2.039 (full load) tons.
5. Is this name correct. The former Gangut-class battleship Poltava renamed Frunze on 7 January still existed on the Second World War although partly broken up, between end July 1941-31 May lying in the Leningrad Sea Canal where she run aground.
