British whaling ship Mechanic visited Honolulu, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 12 April 1845

An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 10 April of the British whaling ship Mechanic of St. Johns 32 months out 400 barrels sperm oil 700 barrels whale oil, last port visited Maiu but could not purchase there the supplies.
