Fate of French cargo ships lying at Martinique unknown according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee Daily summary dated 15 May 1942

An item reported that there was still no agreement what to do with the French cargo ships lying at Martinique. The J.I.C. commented that without any doubts the German government would prevent that the United Nations [USA?] would use the ships.
