American whaling ship John Wells visited Lahaina, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 10 May 1845

An item reported the arrival at Lahaina, Hawaii on 12 March of the American whaling ship John Wells captain J. Hedges of Sag Harbor, USA 7 months out 250 barrels whale oil 2,000 lbs bone departed on 29 March.
