British cruiser HMS Dorsetshire intended to visit the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newpspaper De Indische courant dated 17 February 1938

An item reported that the British cruiser HMS Dorsetshire would arrive on 4 March at Tandjong Priok, Dutch East Indies coming from Singapore for a stay of 4 days. Probably her next stop was to be Australia.(1)

1. Of the County-class heavy cruisers, preceded by Hawking-class, succeeded by York-class, laid down by Portsmouth Dockyard on 21 September 1927, launched on 29 January 1929, commissioned on 30 September 1930 and sunk on 5 April 1942 by Japanese aircraft while underway to Colombo, Ceylon.
