British gunboat HMS Thistle bound for South Africa according to the Secret Admiralty Weekly Intelligence Summary Nr. 31 for the week ending 6 August 1921

An item reported that the British gunboat HMS Thistle was underway from Lagos, Nigeria towards Simonstown, South Africa shortly to pay off.

Note

1. Part of the Bramble-class gunboats, preceded by Redbreast-class, laid down by London&Glasgow, Govan, Scotland on 2 December 1897, launched on 22 July 1899 and broken up in 1926.
