British scared of Turkish-Bolshevik attack on Batumi according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary Nr. 10 for the week ending 11 September 1920

An item referred to the British Commander-in-chief for the Mediterranean reported that 2 or 3 ships already left of were to leave Novorossisk bound for Trebizond loaded with arms for the Kemalists. He asked the British commissioner at Tiflis if this transport had connection with the Soviet deputation at Batoum [Batumi, Georgia]. He feared a Turkish-Bolshevik attack on the Batoum Province.
