Launched at the Shanghai Dock, Chinese as the Italian gunboat Ermanno Carlotto on 19 June 1918, completed in February 1921, scuttled by her ow crew at Shanghai on 9 September 1943, salvaged, repaired by the Mitsubishi Shipbuilding’s Kiangnan Dockyard and commissioned in Japanese service on 15 October 1943 as Narumi, surrendered to Chinese forces on 15 September 1945, stricken Japanese Navy List pm 30 September 1945, owned by Nationalist China, captured by the Peoples’ Republic of China in 1949 and still mentioned in the 1974/1975 edition of Jane’s Fighting Ships. Displacement 247 (standard)-318 (full load) tons and as dimensions 48.8 x 7,50 x 0.91 metres. The 2 vertical triple expansion engines and 2 Yarrow boilers delivered 1.100hp allowing with the 2 screws a maximum speed of 14 knots. Armament consisted of 2x1-7.62cm/3” cal 40 guns and 6x1-7.7/0.31” machine guns. In 1963 in Chinese service a crew of 60 men, oil bunker capacity oil fuelled.
