Russian Soviet government involved in attack on Persia according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary Nr. 8 dated 28 August 1920

An item reported that the advance of the Persian government was arrested after gunboats bombarding Enzeli, Iran to keep the Cossacks out of the city. (1) It seems that the Russian Soviet government was indeed involved in the attack on Persia despite she denied this.
